It's pretty much the mods and their stuff like this (sorry guys, I love you all so much) which is why people like icjburke left. And yeah you can say we're all so annoying with our fun, obviously there's a reason to lock threads called 'THE RANDOM THREAD', but when it's just some harmless fun in a section that's made for just that purpose, maybe just let it slide in the interest of creating an enjoyable as well as orderly experience for everyone.

I think luke was referring to the rather risque fanfic slash yaoi disgustingness that tumblr is good for. Make as many funnny stories about guyf and thomaf to your hearts content!

if we come across as nazi. i'm sorry. personally i don't wanna be a nazi. even i think it's too uptight here. i think we got extra eep is because of the matty=biggestdpfan rubbish. i think you are entitled to some fun as there is basically jack all to talk about on this forum until daft punk decides to do something. but don't make it overly stupid and dumb y'know? On another forum i browse more now, we have a whole forum dedicated to put random stupid threads in, and it's pretty cool. sorta wish it was the same here really.

I was, and I would like to apologise for being short these past few weeks, I had/have a lot of uni work to do [because I'm an arts student - d'you want chips with that?] and it makes me angry and hate everything.

Okay, now I have to highlight something: icjburke might have been underage or just gone thirteen but whatever. His behaviour was erratic and douchebaggy, like double-posting extra comments instead of taking the time to edit them [seriously, that's what the button's there for] and he left because he didn't want to put up with the rules that come with signing up to this forum. Harmless fun is fine in a thread, but it must be within reason, because then the original idea of the thread is thrown to the wind. I do agree with you that the creation of an enjoyable experience through that kind of harmless stuff, but please God, don't go mad, or I'll take the Irish Mammy approch and get the [metaphorical] wooden spoon out.

[If the joke is lost on you: A few decades ago, to discipline their children, mothers in Ireland would threaten them with a smack from the wooden spoon. God, weren't we authoritarian. Few houses do that nowadays.]

I'm not gonna go off on an infraction giving spree [when have I ever?] when I get mad, but I am going to be blunt about how I feel about something. And yes, like spam said, when I hear the words "fan fiction" it makes me want to cut a wench, because that kind of stuff [especially the stuff you find on tumblr, that ****'s Lana del Cray] is just what over-emotional pre-teen girls have their girl bits "explode" and they "crey" and "want to die" and it just makes you double daft facepalm. ¬_¬
