Also the black and white one has speakers in each of the ears joined together through the head, and a headphone jack comes out the bottom so I can hook my iphone up to it. I thought that was a neat addition, since I hadnt seen anyone else do it. I'm sure there are some out there though~
    That......is epic.

    Re: My first Guy helmet

New progress on my Thomas Helmet. The inside has been fiberglassed, and put a rough layer of Bondo on the outside, and sanded it down a bit. Thinkin about adding another layer of fiberglass on the inside. Feels pretty light, and I'm worrying about it being somewhat flexible and cracking the bondo. All I need to do is add some touchup bondo. If it turns out like I hope, I would love to get it chromed, if it doesnt cost an arm and a leg.

Hm, I actually saw your guy helmet earlier today whilst at school working on a flash project. I noticed it and thought it was really well made! have you tried placing the visor from the outside? it might make it look even better

    Re: My first Guy helmet

Actually, the initial plan was to have the visor sit on the edge of the rim, and not go inside at all. Unfortunately though, the first attempt to vacuum form the visor collapsed the visor. I had thought fiberglass and bondo would have been enough to prevent it from doing that, but it wasnt~ So my father mentioned of using that spray foam for insulating around pipes to spray inside the visor to keep it from collapsing during the vacuum form. It worked, but over time, the spray insulation shrunk, pulling the visor together and making it narrow, no longer making it completely fit on the helmet itself. This all happened while I was waiting for my next shipment of PETG plastic to deliver. so I just went ahead and attached it along the inside the rim. Its not perfect, but I'm worn out of trying to work with it haha.

My Thomas is just about done! I put the visor in the just to get a feel for it. The quality of both is amateur at best, but I have to say I think I did a pretty good job on my first tries, and happy with how they have turned out. I wish I could afford to buy molds of some real ones, but its been a really fun learning experience~

    Thanks!
Its just shiny metallic spray paint~ Its somewhat reflective, aka still hurts to look at it in the sun. Although every time I put a coat on it, I keep wanting to touch it, and its really easy to get finger prints on it, just when you think its dry
