Electroma on DVD - Steel Box or Paper Sleeve??
15th Apr 2012, 22:34 #1Hello everyone,
A few days ago I bought Daft Punk's Electroma on DVD in a Paper Sleeve including the photobook etc.
I also own the DVD in a Steel Box.
My question is: Does anyone of you know which one of them is "more rare" or "limited Edition"???
And I heard that besides the silver steel box there is also Electroma in a golden Steel Box....right or wrong?
By the way: How can I change my signature??? My Channel "Daftuniverse" was deleted on YouTube and I wanted to change to "Frenchrobots" in my signature.

16th Apr 2012, 02:15 #6The steelbook case is really solid (not just because it's made of metal lol,) but the spindle that holds the disc, which usually breaks in regular cases, is very secure and will make sure that disc goes absolutely nowhere, haha. I don't know about the rarity of steelbook vs. regular case. I thought they were both fairly common because I just randomly ordered Electroma from Amazon Marketplace, and the steelbook is the one I ended up with.
I thought I may have heard something about a gold case too, but I think it is just a rumor. I know that if you photograph the steelbook in low, incandescent lighting, its reflective surface will look more like gold instead of silver. So that may be a reason.

16th Apr 2012, 12:10 #7i think the steel book one. But truth be told it is still pretty common I mean i bought mine at a local HMV in a suburb of toronto a year and a half ago for under 25 bucks! I would invest in buying one though because the case is obviously cool as is the neat photo book.

17th Apr 2012, 23:26 #9The book version one is rarer. I actually made a thread about this a year ago or something. The hard book version has a 50 page booklet or something (I've seen it on Youtube once or twice) and it's bigger. The steelcase is fairly common, I've seen them for about 15-20 euros whereas the book thing I've seen only once for $150

18th Apr 2012, 10:21 #10I have the steelbook Edition and the cardboard sleeve, both versions have the photobook.
If there's really a golden steel box version it must be pretty rare....
The cardboard version looks like that:
(btw I keep it factory sealed for my collection
