Is there any difference between thedaftclub.com and daftclub.com

i know daftclub.com was used for releasing remixes and stuff back during discovery and was talked about in DP interviews but is it the same as thedaftclub.com (this site)

Indeed there is... daftclub.com is the official site Daft Punk used as a downloading resource around the Discovery Era (until around 2003 I think).

This site, thedaftclub.com is a completely unofficial and unconnected fan site. It's not affiliated with Daft Punk in any official capacity at all. The similarities exist only due to the long running trend for fansites and tribute bands using rather tongue-in-cheek variations on a bands name or song.
