The title explains it all pretty much..I don't really get it. Is this some reference to Darlin'?

In my country it's categorized as Dance/House.
I don't think that it could be a reference so, Daft Punk themselves doesn't control the distribution in iTunes (as far as I know).

The Indie Rock would be more a reference to Human After All.

It is clearly wrong. We should email iTunes so they can change it to their real genre :

I'm glad I'm not the only one who has this. It only happens when I import them as CDs, their songs I bought on iTunes are labeled Electronic or Dance.

It's Electronic in the US. It's funny, because they recently changed Discovery's genre from Dance to Electronic, probably to separate it from Skrillex and Deadmau5-type music.

Maybe it only happens when you import a CD, which is when I discovered it both times (when I first bought Daft CD's and last night, burning one again.) This would suggest Indie Rock is the genre in the Gracenote library, not the iTunes store.
