headphone cables.

i'm currently using a set of pioneer hdj-500 headphones, which i have been enjoying quite a lot.
upon my first look, i noticed that the actual cable plugs into the headphone, instead of already being mounted into them like i'm used to.
with this in mind, i'm under the impression this cable can be replaced, if something were to happen to it.
i've been doing some looking around and haven't found anything yet, so i'm hoping perhaps someone on here can direct me to a site or help me out somehow?

Is it just a regular AUX cable? Most of the time, you can just buy AUX (plugs on both sides) pretty cheap at, like, Wal-Mart.....

i thought the same thing, but it turns out one end is your standard 3.5mm jack, while the other is actually something smaller (maybe 2.5mm?).
i'll suss around a bit more and see how i go.
hopefully, the other end is 2.5mm or i'm in for some intense googlin'.

You could try for an adapter? I've got one of 'em, it's worth like $0.40

yup, i've bought adaptors before (only to convert to quarter inch though; i assumed it's the same deal with this).
at the risk of being a pest, the (potentially) 2.5mm end is a screw in one, and not like any other screw in that i've encountered.
the plug and the port are basically shaped like this: O-
once inserted, you twist it into its locked position, and you're ready to go.

if i don't find anything like that while i'm out, would i have any chances if i continued searching online, i should i just settle for the regular kind?
