ideal soundproofing materials.
30th May 2012, 11:11 #1i'm currently in the process of tearing out the pieces of an old caravan, to convert it into a sort of bedroom/home studio.
tomorrow, i'm gonna be tearing through the walls and whatnot, in preparation for getting them replaced.
i was thinking convoluted foam, but i figured i'd run the idea by people first, in case it's not a fantastic idea, or at not as fantastic as other materials.
anyone care to share their opinions?
thanks.

31st May 2012, 08:50 #3Foam works good (preferably acoustic foam like these: http://www.music4less.net/4less/studiofoam1.htm http://www.audimutesoundproofing.com...roof-foam.aspx ). Hanging old rugs and/or carpets on the walls works pretty well too. There is also this thick, blanket-like padded fabric that you are supposed to nail to walls. I don't remember what it's called, but I helped my brother put it up in a small studio room and it worked pretty well.
I've never had much luck with the egg carton thing.
