wasted opportunity
27th Jun 2012, 06:29 #1Recently a dlc was created for a video game called 'littlebigplanet 2', it was a TRON: Legacy DLC. I feel this was a wasted opportunity to make Thomas and Guy-Man costumes (What you wear in the game). I personaly love this game, but this is one of the things that really bugged me. They made Clu, Quorra, and Gem costumes.
heres the link to the pics n stuff: http://www.littlebigplanet.com/en/ga...gacy_minipack/
(I bet their would be some legal issue if the costumes were made or if disney was just being picky.)

27th Jun 2012, 06:48 #2Probably Disney recently just lost the rights to released moar stuff under Daft Punk name, in other words, the contract expired.
Anyway, yes there could have been.Last edited by daftnews; 27th Jun 2012 at 06:53. Reason: Too much pressure, must...eat...cookies...
I'm looking for admins/mods for theDaft Punk Wikia, if you're interested, feel free to PM me. ||Steam||Tumblr||

27th Jun 2012, 07:03 #3I'd say its just like Disney sold the rights to make their characters off to Sony and whoever at Sony made the models wasn't told by his supervisor to make the very obscure DJs from the end of line club..Most kids would have no idea who they were anyway

Re: wasted opportunity
27th Jun 2012, 19:34 #6Disney hired Daft Punk so DP could write a score for Tron: Legacy, and to have them appear in the film itself, and the big promo thing in London when T:L was released.
As far as I can guess, Disney weren't allowed to do much more than that, including using DP's likeness in games as promotion for T:L. That's what I think, at least.
