    The Passing Away Thread

This thread is to commemorate your losses. Be serious, and don't poke fun. Everyone has moments.

My loss happened today. My cat, Frieda passed away due to congested heart failures. She was so sweet and adorable. She was also pretty damn cute, too. I saw her this morning, panting, making unusual noises. After summer school, I took a nap, just to be woken up by my dad telling me Frieda wouldn't make it. It broke my heart, but with pets I don't cry or grieve, I just feel bad. She was buried in my backyard, by my forest. It was kind of pitiful, too, because my other cat, Coconut, joined us in the "funeral". It turned out she was born with a bad heart. Because of this, it stunted her growth and she never really grew to be that big. Right now, she's in a bag in a cardboard box with foam hanging out of her mouth.

I changed my avatar to remember her. The times when she was alive were some of the best times of my life. She died one day before her birthday. inb4 TL;DR, I hope some of you can relate to what I feel.

Sorry for your loss. I can partially relate. We had this one cat in the family for over 15 years, I think she might have almost been 20! She was run over about five years ago, and we all felt bad, as she was always with us. Now I have my dog that's been with us ever since I was little, so some void is filled. I love having her around.

*hug* I am sorry for your loss, friend. My dog Sadie was hit by a car in August while I was away at school. I'd had her since I was in elementary school, so she was well on in years, but still was very hyper. My dad waited for me to come home to bury her. It hit me like a ton of bricks when I saw her just lying there; I just sat in my car and cried for a few minutes. It hurts to lose a pet.

Well, that's really unfortunate. I'm sorry to hear that your cat Frieda has passed. I'm sure she is at peace now though and somewhere where she can rest easy.

I'm very sorry for your loss, and she wasn't even a year old? That's so sad but I think it's really sweet that you've changed your avatar in Frieda's memory.
