    Guy-Manuel Tron helmet

So i've been working on this helmet for quite some time now, about a year and a half now. I lost my other Flikr account login info, so here are some of the progress pics:

And before I go any further, I need to make the decision of whether or not to cast it. I want to cast it, but my mom isn't allowing me to spend to money on casting supplies unless I know I will make a good profit -_-

Based on these pictures, how much would i be able to get out of a cast?

On this final picture you can see that the inner ear and cup haven't been placed, that is because i have some reshaping on that piece to get done

That's a really good sculpt you have going on there!

I'd say try casting it if you really feel good about it. Just make sure to try to get the molding and casting right, that way you don't have to spend more money!

I know you're somewhere out there. Somewhere far away...
And if we're taking bets on the album release date: March 21, 2013.

    Yes, it's a great sculpt.

My advice is to cast it, but finish a few helmets and put them up on Ebay. Finished helmets usually go for around 4 hundred to 5 hundred dollars on ebay, especially considering there are many people who sell casts.

    Re: Guy-Manuel Tron helmet

So, I had only the back panel to finish up when this major setback happened this morning:

The crack goes all the way around the ear and through part of the chin on both sides

Somehow, the helmet got on my bed this morning and i kicked it onto the floor while sleeping. I assume it was my douche of a brother, but my mom says it was me sleep walking....

Ah man! I'm so sorry! I've had that happen to me a couple of times, it truly is the worst feeling!!!!

    Is it salvageable?

It should be. I have to glue the whole right ear back in. But i'll probably be taking a break on it for a while. I'm too depressed about it right now :/

Well, take your time man, this truly does suck. Was it reinforced with Fibreglass cloth or something else?

Not there, no. I had taken out the original ears and put in MDF ears like Volpin's. So all that was holding those in was some hot glue :P I assume that's why it was only those areas that cracked, is because the rest of the helmet has some fiberglass cloth on it
