In honor of my 101st post, I have decided to create a thread where the whole daftclub.com fan made community can come together to help each other out.

If you haven't figured this out already, the point of this thread is to ask questions that you need help with. And hopefully, someone who knows the answer will.... well.... have an answer for you!
I decided to create this thread because I noticed that some questions that would be asked by beginners (or even experts) would not be answered in build threads and such. So, why not create a thread that is specifically meant for this?

These are a few type of questions that are appropriate for this thread:
What type of spray paint should I use for my helmet?
What kind of plastic would I need for a Thomas visor?
For a beginner, what would you recommend would be the best helmet to make?

A couple of inappropriate questions include:
What is Daft Punk?
OR
Which do you prefer? Dubstep or Dubstep?

Compliments are also appropriate, But please, no messing around. Save that kind of stuff for The Lounge forum.

True, but I designed this thread for others to help out each other, like give advice and suggestions.

As much as I would like to say yes, the question is not relevant to the point of this thread.

Here let me give it a shot:

What type of primer is the best to use on a bondo based helmet? In the past, I have used filler primer, but I feel like that it isn't the right one to use. Would 2K primer work?

I use "Rust-oleum Painters Touch" primer and it hasn't shown me any problems so far. However that is just for my pep helmet, when I'll work on my Guy cast to prep it for chrome I think I'll go with another kind.

When you are in the HORRIBLE AND NEVER ENDING sanding stage, just some regular primer ( I prefer krylon ), that will suffice. Before paint, Using a high build primer or filler primer is recommended but I have never used it.

EDIT: I guess I should pose a question too, huh?

One of the things you may notice are severely lacking in my build are electronics. So I have a question for you guys.....do any of you have any links to some good electronic stuff for beginners? I know nothing, but I would like to start learning how to power LED's and run code. Thanks guys!

Well, I have never worked with electronics either. But from what I heard, beginners use nerd kits for the Thomas helmets. I plan on making a Guy Man for halloween, so I will be using the Plasmado LED kit. There is no coding whatsoever, however, you have to be pretty decent at soldering.
