Haven't seen a thread about Example yet, so I'm assuming there isn't one, considering I used the search engine, and skimmed through the "General Music" forum, but if it already exists, feel free to pull up the link.

Anyways, recently, I've been listening to a guy known as "Example". Now I don't listen to dubstep very often, since I only listen to "light" dubstep (if that makes any sense). (this guy doesn't put dubstep in every song he has, but the ones he does pull it off in, its pulled off well, and thats one of the reasons why I like his stuff.) But when I started listening to this guy, I suddenly became addicted to his stuff, and haven't been able to stop. I need help. But in all seriousness, I wanna know if any of you guys have heard this guys work, and if so, I'd like to hear your thoughts on the guy. And in case you haven't heard of any of his stuff, here's one of his songs called "Anything", which is my personal favorite.

    Re: Example

his music used to be on the radio quite a lot last year (at least, here in australia).
i can enjoy some of his tracks, but i'm not really big on rappers who sing in their choruses, it just reminds me of australian hip-hop (that i've heard people in other countries call "skip-hop", because we ride kangaroos to school and work); which makes me cringe hard.
i enjoyed some of the stuff that was played on the radio though.

I thought the album he released was quite good, it was basically a dubstep album, had some awesome names for the production like skream and nero.

    Re: Example

Won't Go Quietly was an AMAZING album released by Example in 2010. It's not as heavy as Playing In The Shadows, but it still has a lot of good electronic production from Chase & Status, Calvin Harris, and others. It's by far my favorite album of his so far. If your going to get into Example's work, start with Won't Go Quietly. I can't wait for his new album "The Evolution Of Man" in November too. The production lineup is insane if you get the chance to see it!

    Re: Example

Its almost impossible to get away from his music in the UK, not that that is a bad thing of course. I saw him live earlier this year and saw him performing with Calvin Harris as well and he holds his own live to be fair
