Aguila - Fuego EP
19th Aug 2012, 07:37 #1First off, I'd like to say sorry for the inactivity all these months, been busy with life and music.
But now on to the topic, I recently released an EP, titled "Fuego" on my label, Funknetic.
Here's a little excerpt from the release description.
For those who do not like SoundCloud, or would rather not download track-by-track, you can download the EP through Bandcamp here.It starts off with 'Fuego' which is a funky, violent, old-styled 909 banger! 'Suga Funk' on the otherhand, starts off with a more funked-vibe, party mood track. 'Interlude' brings it all back in a rock-funk-inspired interlude. 'Wacker Drive,' inspired by the classic nineties chop jobs of French House, does exactly that and bangs it out. Last but certainly not least, is 'White Winds' which is a complete rework of Paul Johnson's 'White Winds' originally released on Guy-Man's (Of Daft Punk fame) and Eric Chedeville's label, Crydamoure.
Thanks for your time and listens, and I hope you enjoy the funk!

Re: Aguila - Fuego EP
19th Aug 2012, 19:47 #2You're Aguila? Awesome! I still listen to "83.7 FM" all the time, it's a genius track (even though the drums get kind of buried in the wall of housey noise).
As for this new EP, the "White Winds" remix/remake is my favorite by a wide margin. Reminds me of "83.7 FM" with the explosiveness-to-housiness ratio flipped in favor of housiness.

19th Aug 2012, 20:46 #3Haha, yes I'm Aguila! I joined the forum way before I started using the alias. And thanks for listening to 83.7 FM means a ton, man! And thanks again for listening to the recent EP, and White Winds was my favourite to produce! I still haven't sent it to Paul though, might do it in the following days, but big thanks again!
