Mozart, Brahms, Bach, Beethoven, Tchaikovsky, Chopin. All great names in the world of classical music. A genre that defines music to its true core i believe, and also the only genre of music that can truly be emotional. Others on here that can really loves a good piano composition or listening to a large orchestra playing the 9th symphony of Beethoven?

This is one of my favorite pieces of classical music

Theme song for the series of Jonathan Creek by the way (very good mystery/detective show that)

    Re: Classical

I generally respect classical music for what it is and where it brought us today. Whether I enjoy it, I'm not so sure, although I quite like that piece you posted!

I really like classical music, the ones you mentioned, Debussy, Erik Satie and Ralph Vaughan Williams are my favorite.

Wonderful choices. I would add Ravel to that list. A great example of the student becoming the master. Taking Debussy's groundbreaking ideas to even greater heights (in my opinion). Also, a fellow student of Vaughan Williams, Gustav Holst's 'Planets' Suite must be mentioned...he was just in god mode during that brief time.

    Re: Classical

Yea his most famous work, but I have to agree with you also his best . I'm also a big fan of Gustav Holst's The Planets. I'm a big fan of soundtrack composers like Carter Burwell, Ryuichi Sakamoto and Thomas Newman!

    Re: Classical

I absolutely adore allot of the classical composers mentioned on here.

Glad to see more people appreciating it.
