    Music or Film?

    What do you recon Daft Punk are better at? I mean I've not seen Electroma - but from what I hear it's a pretty good project! Similar to Interstella 5555 and the handfull of vids they directed on D.A.F.T.

    They're obviusly a very creative pair of guys, but which do you think they are better at?

    Personally I would go for the music myself, it embodies a certain amount of emotion which I don't really get from the videos or Interstella...

    To me, they are, at heart, musical. They will be remembered for their music, and performances, with the vids and films taking a back seat...I also find that vidoes can stop the song from having such strong meaning to the listener, as you just assume the song is about the vid, rather then fitting it to your own circumstance

    Yeah music all the way although Interstella 5555 is Fantastic
    Im still waiting to see Electroma but ive heard its nothing great :S i hope there wrong.

    I've heard the opposite... all the critics have said it's a triumph of cinema! Apparently it plunges the depths of humanity!! The only downside is it doesn;t feature any Daft Punk music...

    Well with no dialogue again it should be universal to all launguages so I don;t see why it shiouldn't be a cinema release!

    Back to the topic. They're music to me is the greatest in the universe, so that's what I'm gonna say.

    Electroma is sounding really cool, I am really curious to see how it will turn out, and if I will even be able to see it.

    What I love about their music is that it trandcends political boundaries/languages/cultures. It doesn't matter where you're from, you can still identify with it.

    I'm certain there will be a soundtrack for Electroma released sometime in the near future.
