7th May 2010, 20:13 #101Why do I have to keep necro'ing this thread when news comes up?
The first official single of the album, "Swoon", is... not yet out. But you can watch its awesome music video on YouTube! God, that's an awesome video.

7th May 2010, 20:35 #102was gonna post.
I'm gonna go right ahead. I don't like ANYTHING from further so far. At the moment, the only way I'm going to buy this album is if "after sunglasses" is on it, because swoon...it's similar to what they've done before, but I just don't like the sample. Escape velocity hurts my ears.
but then again, there is more to come...
im also disappointed its gonna be such a small album.
7th May 2010, 22:29 #103ive been a chemical brothers fan since dig your own hole, not been massively impressed with any albums since come with us.there are some great songs on push the button and we are the night but waaaaaaay too many guest singers, they were losing sight of what they were all about (plus magic numbers? lightspeed champion? ffs!). i think further sounds like a step in the right direction, and i like what ive heard so far.looking forward to it

9th May 2010, 22:01 #104Anyone excited for Further? I've seen em live, and it was mind blowing. I think people hated We Are the Night too much. It was different in a good way, but that infamous remix of The Salmon Dance was awful and peppered many clubs I went to.
I loved the title track though.
13th May 2010, 21:40 #105So I've been watching the chem bros forum, and I saw that there were leaked clips of the songs?
And after sunglasses is a bonus track called "don't think"...how disappointing, but at least it made it in some form.
13th May 2010, 22:12 #106i havent liked anything since come with us
except the occasional track
but hopefully theyre making a comeback!
i love swoonPlease Check out my Poetry blog! No moping really, not to worry .http://youllruetheday.blogspot.com/

14th May 2010, 12:52 #107Oh yeah, I was caught up in that whole fiasco. iTunes UK put up a pre-order for the album a bit early and you could listen to all the 30-second demos of the songs and videos. Then they took it down at the request of Parlophone (they probably caught on because of all the discussion in the forum!). OK, except that I had recorded rips of all the demos so I could play them on my iPod, and the moment it came out that I was planning to share them with some of the other members there was a sudden crackdown. The 12-page thread dedicated to "Further" was locked with a warning that anybody caught posting leaks of the album would be banned immediately, and some of the members got really upset. Then one of the moderators apologized, said that it was sort of a knee-jerk reaction, and reopened the thread on the condition that nobody put up leaks. Which leaves me in the rather peculiar position of being the only fan in the world who can listen to all the songs from "Further" (at least, in part). Let me just say that it does not disappoint.
14th May 2010, 17:13 #108No chance of you sharing those rips though?
Actually, how did you even rip them?
I hope that "Don't Think" will be on the CD edition that I plan to buy...I don't fancy buying it on iTunes just for one track that should have been on there in the first place! lol
15th May 2010, 16:48 #109I used some direct-from-soundcard recording software to record the excerpts as they played. And sorry, in retrospect I think it would be kind of unethical to start circulating excerpts of songs that the Brothers don't want to be released yet.
20th May 2010, 21:27 #110They're playing their first show of the year at the Roundhouse as I type this! I'm refreshing the Chems forum every couple of seconds hoping for a report from somebody there.
