It sounds to me like the show's a repeat from last year. Tom refers to next July's concert in LA with Ratatat but then he also mentions Electroma which I thought was only released in the UK this year. If anyone can clear up the confusion...thanks.

jeez. i listened to last week's show, thinking it was tonight's, and was kinda disappointed. "wow, the big news is that there's an interview next week? laaaame." but the music was good, anyway.

i'm listening to tonight's show right now, now that i've figured out what was going on.

as for your confusion, the show i listened to [last week's] mentioned that the interview was conducted back during the Wireless festival, i think, so that is why he's referring to both the LA show and ELECTROMA as in the future.

she [Annie, the DJ] also said it's only the second interview they've [Daft Punk] done for Radio1, and in quite a few years at that, so it couldn't possibly be last year's show.

    hope that explains it. XD

I listened to the interview (you can fast forward on listen again, 30 minutes in you can hear her intro and then Spinal Scratch).
It's good. Annie Mac says it was recorded during the UK Wireless shows, so around the 16th of June 2007. Guy-Man says about 3 words, but Thomas talks about lots of interesting stuff, and I really like his answer to the question about a possible fourth album (he doesn't confirm anything of course, but it's encouraging).
Hopefully someone will rip this, I suppose if no one does I can...
But like I said, use listen again and fast forward 30 minutes to hear all the good stuff.

EDIT: And I can sort of confirm that it's only their second interview on Radio1, their first was transcripted to the website, and probably still is.

Thanks for clearing that up guys. I was thrown off when Tom said "next July." And I completely cracked up when he said "American Suburbia."

Well, when I was in Denver for the Red Rocks show, a local radio station was promoting the concert and Guy-Man had a short telphone interview in which he said "coming to tonight's show would be a great chance to hear great new artists from around the world; the rapture, sebastian, and kavinksy."

it was pretty cool driving around listening to guy-man talk about the show i was just about to see. also the radio DJ didn't seem to know much about anyone except DP, he thought kavinsky was a band. hah.

If I'm not mistaken, the first interview they did with Radio1 was back when Discovery was released and the HBFS single was brand-new. They did this Q&A where people chatted with them online, they were asked questions they had to answer.

I'm not sure if it was actually Radio1 that arranged this, but I'm pretty positive it was the BBC, the interview is on a webpage, I read it like 4 years ago, I'll dig around and try to find it, it's kinda funny and intresting (or so I remember).

    Thanks for the link piro!

Sorry guys, I found the link (or webpage that directs to the link).

It's title is The Elusive Ones Do A Live Webchat With Radio 1

    found here http://raft.vmg.co.uk/daftpunk.html

However, when you click the last part of the post's text (Click Here), it redirects you to the Radio1 Message Boards, which probably means the webpage with the interview doesn't exist anymore. I tried to find (searching/browsing the site), but it's no use. Anyone know where we could still find it?
