8th Sep 2007, 01:13 #1How many of you think "Musique" is the unsung masterpiece in DP's music catalog? I never get tired of listening to "Musique" no matter how many times I play it.
Ok, DP historians, was "Musique" created before "Da Funk?" What samples (if any) was used in creating this classic? And where are the "Musique" remixes?
8th Sep 2007, 01:43 #2I do think that Musique in underrated...I love that track. I usually play WDPK 83.7, followed by Musique

However, I don't know about the other questions. Maybe other DP historians will know the answers you're looking for

The only remix I can think of is the version on the Rex Club bootleg; that's a pretty good version.

i discovered musique from "wypeout album", before i didnt know this was on Ç"da funk sinlge"
8th Sep 2007, 18:30 #7i think the only reason it's "underrated" because aside from it's recent release on MUSIQUE VOL. I, it was only ever released on the "Da Funk" single.
i remember reading/hearing in an interview somewhere that there was a reason they didn't include it on Homework, however, i don't really remember what it was. lol. i think that it was designed to complement "Da Funk" and so they only wanted to release it on the single at the time.
that being said, it is indeed a killer B-side, and they should've released it on an album much sooner than MUSIQUE.
8th Sep 2007, 20:02 #8I think I read the same interview, Thomas simply said that they didn't want it included on the album because they wanted to keep it a B-side track, plain and simple. I like the Rex Club version more than the original.
