I didn't want to make a new thread -- seeing as this is kinda a dumb question. BUT; does anyone know what exactly Daft Punk samples for Face to Face and what the hell the lyrics are. It sounds like, "Too long, must've forgot" to me. But that's not proper english. [My friend thinks it's "Face to face now" and my mom thinks it's "mister fell down." Like the latter makes sense...]

I've heard the only song they sampled was that ELO song -- Evil Woman I think it was. I don't hear anything even close to what I hear in Face to Face.

I feel like such an idiot for even asking...

It sounds like:

"Is it over?"
"Is it oh."

Makes a lot of sense and the sample of the ELO song has been denied.

The ELO sample is blatantly a lie, just cos it might sound remotely similar, or have a certain sound that reminds someone of ELO.
Not sure what it is though, but I sing "mister love lost (ooh ah)"
Undoubtably the greatest sample in the history of music is at the end when she just goes "wee-ee".

I always thought it was what you said at the start - "Face to face now." But now all I can hear is "Mister fell down". Which I prefer.

but i think sometimes it doesn't sound exactly like that? i'll have to take another listen sometime...
