Naw, I just love to give people crap. And I do love his work. But I am wondering how he has only two records. He's probably the best daft helmet maker ever! Heck, I wouldn't be suprized if they asked him to make their next helmets

To be completely honest, I've been on this site through two or three redesigns and I don't even know what the heck the records are!

Some of us have better things to worry about than the number of pixelated records under an online soubriquet.

records are only reflective of your post count, so that he only has two records only means he hasn't posted that much here.

Post count is an issue that seems to have a tendency to lead to conflict on many forums.

Some people seem to feel that post count indicates status, wither its a conscious or subconscious thought. Generally speaking, people with few posts are assumed to be newbies, and people with a lot of posts are assumed to be veterans who should be respected. Thats not always the case.

In Volpin's case, he makes few posts, but when he does but they are usually full of content and useful information. Conversely speaking there may be members here on the Daft Club who have "Four Golden Records" under their name but when you look at their posts they are full of "LOLs" and other fluff posts.

Or me for example. I have been here since 2007 but there have been people here who have been here for less time and trippled by post count.

Long story short: People should be judged by the quality of their posts, not how many they make. Some forums try to remedy this by not display people's post count bellow their username, but that probably is not necessary here.

to kinda get back on topic, I found a product called UGlu pronounced You Glue. it comes in sheets that you can cut and I thought hey, maybe ti would work to attach plates to gloves or visors in helmets and so on. well it works amazingly! ill try to find a site that offers it but this stuff is crazy good, I got 2 sheets and that was more than enough to attach plates to gloves, my only problem with it is its smelly so I let it sit for 3 days and it wears off. its supposed to be used to attach shelves to walls lol but I find my use better

as something on topic i just thought of mentioning, i heard about this stuff that's kind of like diy silicone, might that have any practical application in helmet-building? i can't remember the name atm, but i can look it up. from what i understand, it sort of works like an epoxy (combining two different substances, then letting it cure for 24 hours or so), but the result is silicone, so it's a bit more flexible than your typical epoxy/epoxy putty.

Volpin> Nope, we didnt attach them to our backs. Our costumes were made of the wrong material, and they wouldn't have sagged to the weight of the discs

I saw that same glue and was wondering about it myself. So how durable does it seem? Did you use it on the handplates you got from Volpin?
