Derek Riggs is the master of album art.

I make no apologies for the size of the pic :

well i looked though all my albums covers and it was kind of hard... so i have a couple runners up...

i love the general style of ASIAN KUNG-FU GENERATION, capsule, and some SPARTA LOCALS covers.

other individual covers would be Do As Infinity's Do The A Side, Modest Mouse's Good News..., 少年ナイフ (Shounen Knife)'s Happy Hour, and 塊は* (Katamari wa Damacy, the OST from みんな大好き塊/We ♥ Katamari).

but i'd have to say the overall winner would probably be stereolab's MARGERINE ECLIPSE.

(yep, two there are two covers.)

I also like Don Henley's album cover of End of The Innocence, I like how the photo looks old skool-ish and the way he's posing and looking at the camera (minus the cigarrete). What can I say, I guess I'm a fan of self-portrait-ish album covers.

There are more that I like, but all I can recall at the moment is Genesis' Abacab album cover, so simple, yet it feels like there are a thousand elements/meanings in it.

[/quote1201014489]this the style you're thinking of?

there are more pictures from their cds here, but that's not their whole discography, it was just the quickest place i could find decent~sized pictures.
