Ugh. So, after sleeping on it. I feel pretty badly for not having more compassion for the situation. My feelings aren't changed about how he died. I feel that it's a very cliche way to die. It personally really bothers me when I find out that anyone has died from an overdose. I personally have a huge problem with drug use. I've lost people close to me from overdose. So, I have strong feelings about it. Either way, Heath Ledger was someone's father, son, lover, etc. So, it wasn't nice of me to poke fun of the situation. Regardless of the feelings I personally hold for drug related deaths. So, if anyone doesn't mind I'd like to do one of to things. I'd like to either edit my first statement and take out the heartless parts, or just deleting the post in it's entirety.

Well, I've edited the parts I wanted to, but I don't see this thread being missed much if it is deleted. So, the decision is entirely up to you.

what's everyone getting all high and mighty about,
    aren't we allowed free speech
most suicides are a cry for help, unlucky for him no-one came to his aid.
what is it with celebs and perscription drugs?(or is it a wider problem in American society?)

I don't know the statistics exactly, but there is alot of prescription drug use in America. You just notice it more when it's in all the tabloids with Celebs. Honestly, now that I think about it I know at least 8 people off the top of my head who use perscription drugs to get high. It's sad. I personally don't get it.

also with hyperactive children in America,i hear they just prescribe drugs to them which conditions them into thinking drugs solve every problem.
as Chris Rock said "why find a cure when you can make money off people selling them a drug so they can live with a disease"

It's true. I've been fighting with my 12 year old brother's school since last year. Everytime he does bad on a math test or something they tell us we should consider putting him on ADHD medications. My brother is very hyper and has a hard time staying focused, but he manages. They don't look at the fact that he got 100 on his vocab test, or that he scored a 8th grade reading level when he was in 5th grade. They are just concerned with his "lack of attention" when he isn't doing well in math. So, I fight with them all the time. Telling them to give me extra homework for him so, I can teach it him myself. Because sometimes you just need a second voice to get something completely you know? Whatever, I didn't mean to ramble on. But, that pisses me off too. Everyone's kid has ADD or ADHD apparently. It's not that they don't like to pay attention to math or homework when they have xbox (sarcasm intended).

maybe it's his teacher that's the problem.
when i was at school you could have one teacher who could control a class, and then the same group of kid's would go into another lesson and caus havoc cause the teacher was unable to control them.
also ,i dont know what it's like in the US but in Britain class sizes have nearly doubled in the last couple of years, so a few years ago a teacher would have a class of 20 kid's,now they have to deal with 30 to 40.
