So I totally was at the Tampa show!
Ok, so I seriously suggest people check out any local shows to see this show.
I mean its cool that he's gonna be at Lollapalooza and Virgin Festival, but the entire lineup was ace!

Lupe was pretty sweet (his first song...he rapped over Justice' LET THERE BE LIGHT!)

N.E.R.D. exceded my expectations. They are just awesome live. They invited fans onstage too!

Rihanna was surpisingly good. Funny thing though. She was definantly singing live (and was pretty good) but it seemed like her 2 backup singers were NOT. Like there was a backing track featuring the background vocals sung by RIhanna...which was weird.

And of course, the main show. I had stayed away from spoilers of the show as much as possible, and it was nothing what I expected.

I'm so impressed that he was definantly on stage for over an hour rapping...but not yelling and shouting and having annoying hype men on stage.
He sounded good and clear and was sweating it out.
Say what you want about the man, but he definantly puts on a good show.

There actually IS a band (complete with backup singers) but they are hidden. They were (at this show, anyway) on the side of the stage behind a wall. I guess Kanye didnt want the band to distract people from him and the visuals. At the end of the show, he thanked the band and all that and a roadie was having a live video camera on the side of the stage to actually show the band.

He left the stage only once at the end for the encore to change into a jacket for TOUCH THE SKY, in which Lupe Fiasco came out and joined him.

The visuals were amazing!
Though, I'm a little bummed that apparently the Jim Henson input was simply a plastic anime-looking nude doll with glowing eyes that talked to Kanye.

Anyhoo, show was great, and I saw Radiohead the next day at the same venue. That was amazing itself.

Lupe performs the day before Kanye, so I'm hoping he will get on stage with him as well. The big collaboration I wanna see though is Kanye West and Lil Wayne, they are performing on the same day... yes please,

I brought my camera, but at the entrance they had metal detector wands and they saw I had my camera. They told me to put it in my car, but I got their by cab.
So i said "can i just give u the batteries?"
Dude hesitantly said ok, as there was a line of people.

Anyhoo, long story short, back at the hotel I actually decided NOT to take my extra batteries with me, forgetting something like that would have happened

And pics of the show are scarce on the net, but then again I'm not really digging hard enough.

Man, you peoples seriously need to catch this show.
It really is amazing!
If you catch him at a festival (ie Virgin, Lollapalooza), thats cool too, but the entire show was awesome (N.E.R.D., Lupe, and Rihanna killed it!).

I can't wait to see the show again at Lollapalooza!
Just amazing visuals and he's a great live performer.
None of that screaming, 3 hypemen on the stage bull sh it.

I hope a DVD comes of this tour!
