daft messes up during Too Long/Aura Rock/Steam Machine (mp3)
2nd Mar 2008, 02:41 #1I meant to do this a while ago, but never got around to it.
There's this audience recording of the daft show at the Red Rock Festival in Esch.
During the Too Long/Aura Rock/Steam Machine part of the show, it appears to sound as if maybe they didn't hit a button in time or maybe a note got stuck or for lack of better words, something just fukcing went wrong.
It's a pretty sweet alternate take on it. Its kinda minor, but if you're used to the version you usually hear (ie the Alive 2007 album version), this may be kinda nice.
Some might argue that it was just daft being random and doing it on purpose, but it sounds like it was a slight error and they had to wait for the loops to start at the right time to begin again...
I trimmed the full track the way it's trimmed on the Alive album for anyone who wants to keep it, rather than just isolate the actual part I mean. But you'll know what I mean when you hear it...
I actually kinda wish this was the version on the album haha

There is no way that's a mistake. If they heard it for maybe 1/2 a second they would fix it.
I like it.
It brings more suspoense. I love it.
but wait
the sudden cut off - brings it to look like they did **** up.
badly
but i think it's on purpose
it's a nice touch
and I think once they heard it, they were like 'nahhh"
i like it. but that's no accident. no way.

I am listening to Alive version of HAA/Superherous
and noticed that your animated avatar is intime with the beat..
ahahaha - random
2nd Mar 2008, 21:13 #9haha i love it! it doesnt matter whether its a **** up or not! i think maybe some equipment got stuck on a loop or something and they just rolled with it. the only way it could be better is if you heard 'guy-man you dumbass!' in the background

What makes you think Guy-Man made the mistake?
Is there some hidden hatred for Guy-Man within you? Is that what this is?
