as a list, i think these are okay, but as an actual project to release, not so cool.

first of all, as you acknowledged, you're going to run into copyright issues with the inclusion of the original song and any officially released remixes.

second of all, while you could go scour the net and bring back any cool remixes you find, just putting them on a compilation project without asking the original remixer... well i can't say it's exactly copyright stuff, but it's kind of in bad taste--at least in my opinion... (members here volunteering their own remixes is a different story, of course, but you get what i'm saying.)

so, i can't say i'm a big fan of this idea.
