Nathan East

As bass players go, Nathan East has a spectacular track record. He’s recorded, performed and co-written songs with big names including Eric Clapton, Michael Jackson, Stevie Wonder, Elton John, Sting and Phil Collins to name but a few! On top of that he’s even had the honour of performing for various U.S. presidents, her majesty Queen Elizabeth II, and his holiness Pope John Paul II. East’s career oozes success so it’s no wonder he’s collaborating with Daft Punk on their upcoming album.

In an interview with Guitar World, posted on their website on 29th November 2012, Nathan East mentions his contribution in passing:

Other projects include the new Daft Punk CD, Steve Lukather’s solo record and work with David Foster on a new Andrea Bocelli album.

This is exciting news indeed but unfortunately it is the only evidence we have for now. Nevertheless, he would be a welcome addition to the current album four line-up alongside Panda Bear, Nile Rodgers, Giorgio Moroder, Paul Williams and Chilly Gonzales.
