A keen-eyed member of the Daft Club forum has put forward an interesting theory about some possible unreleased Daft Punk songs. Fundave, made the discovery in the photo book that comes with the Deluxe Random Access Memories set. On the front and back covers is pictured a set of electronics, with sticky labels indicating what the switches control. Some of the labels are easily decipherable, marking things such as: “Get Lucky”, “Touch Part A” and “Gio”. But there are also some unidentified labels, with words such as: “Tre Tre”, “Daft Bob”, “APO Idea”, “Theme 2” and “Infinity Repeating”.
So far the general consensus among forum goers seems to be that many of these are simply working titles for tracks or streams of songs that we know under different names. For example “Bob” is known to be DJ Falcon’s nickname, so it seems likely that “Daft Bob” represents the song Contact (on which DJ Falcon collaborated).
Of course this is all speculation, and we’re unlikely to every get a definitive answer, but it’s fun to imagine the meaning behind the labels.
