    what plugin are you using for bass?
    also, on your vsts channel slot, just put a free filter set to lopass, and automate the cutoff

    create a channel for the bass, make fruity fast lp, go to cutoff, edit events, then alt and o. then adjust from there.

    First, take your bass plugin, whateve that may be, select it, go it?, good.
    next, open your mixer, hotkey is F9, pick a mixer slot, presumably the first and press control+L
    then open up fruity free filter, and automate the cutoff

    They can help you more than we do.
    Go through tutorials.
