    Question

    Daft Punk & DJ Sneak - Live @ Industry - Toronto (04-12-1997)

Remove this ad: become a supporter
When I searched on the web today, I struggle on this: http://www.orlydb.com/?q=daft+punk+live

Then I saw this on that page: Dj_Sneak_and_Daft_Punk-Live_at_Industry_Toronto-(04-12_Cable)-1997-UTB. I've never heard somebody about this, nobody have download links for this set. And when I searched for the file name on Google there were 0 results, so this is a rare set.

I can't figure out how to download this set from the site above.
    Can somebody help?

!!!!!! Great find! This was one of the lost Daft Punk sets, along with Skyrocks and the 1998 Winter Music Conference sets I believe. It links to Usenet, a P2P Sharing program. Looks like we have to use the program to get the file.

Anyone willing to use the website and put in some info for a free trial to get this elusive DP set!?

On a side note Berrie, I've managed to track down another DJ Falcon live set, DJ Falcon Live @ Jack Fridays, Zentra, Chicago. But the user that has it hasn't freed up a spot yet for me to download it. I'll get it soon though hopefully!

You need a credit card for that site and I don't think a lot of people want to give away their details.

Re: Daft Punk & DJ Sneak - Live @ Industry - Toronto (04-12-1997)

It is a predatabase. That means it doesn't actual provide link to a download location as such.
It is an area where release groups post their releases, in this case the release group is called UTB, and they are mainly used to see if something has been released to "the scene" or not.

    Example:
MusicDownloader: Has the bootleg for [X] been release in MP3 yet
    OtherGuy: Check the predb!

So we can gather that there is a release of "Dj_Sneak_and_Daft_Punk-Live_at_Industry_Toronto-(04-12_Cable)-1997-UTB" somewhere.
This somewhere will be in a newsgroup. Now, newsgroups are a lot harder for me to explain as I have never actually used them because I cant afford a usenet provider and my ISP doesnt offer it so read this http://www.zyaga.com/2008/10/02/usenet-for-dummies/

Hopefully this helps makes sense of the fact you cant just click a link and download it with a separate program.

(if any of the info above i wrong. bully me)

EDIT!!!111!: I have been doin some googling and I have found these so you can ignore all on top if you want. (to download the first two links just right click, save link as)

Hmmm. The link lepoisson gave plays music sounds better with you at around 1:15:00. The set we're looking for was played in 1997, but MSBWY wasn't released until 1998...

I also found this, http://www.mpiii.com/dl_view-45531.html. Look at "stmandrew" comment, he says that that recording was not played in 2008, but in 1997. Just some more info to throw at there.

Might have been an early demo.

I did notice that, so unless it is some mysterious early version, it is probably from sometime after 1997. But eh, the mix is good. What else do i need?

Would like to hear the 1997 bootleg though if it is real.

It also contains The Buffalo Bunch - Buffalo Club, which was first released in 1998

These 1998 releases are quite suspicious, but again, they are Djs and have easy access to demos...
