Thans man! I just can't sit still when there are things I could be doing. I wish I had a lathe in my shop too though... Make these pucks look so much better!!! Wouldnt have to do soda cans for thomas' ears either. Haha

I bet if you looked there would be a local machine shop in your area that would lathe you some ear pucks for a decent price. Might be a worthy investment if you're planning on selling casts

Being a machinist I wish I could help you out with some ear puck's, but I am extremely far behind on my own project. However a shop shouldn't charge you very much to make them. My suggestion would be to have only one made. then make a mold of it which you can then make copies of. I think my shop might charge like $60 (1hr of labor) for something liek that. Same goes for the thomas ear. But great suggestion Agent Rayban's, it would def yeild the best result.

i'd be interested in one of these. i do have a large head tho so could u give measurements for the circumference of the base and the height? also, will the cast have the visor part detached to make it ready for vacuum forming?

its 8.5" from outside of the right ear to outside of the left ear and 13.5" from front of chin to back of lid. Does that help? Photobucket is doing maintenance and I can't upload any pictures.
