Help: Anyone know who made these fan helmets?

I am trying to find out who made / are wearing these helmets. The wearers attended the Chicago-area convention ACEN. Here's two reference photos-

Those are Volpin casts, I believe.

Actually, The Thomas helmet is Volpin's and the Guy helmet was made by Beastman.

To me, Beastman's Guy-Man helmet has always looked really close to Volpin's. I wouldn't be at all surprised if it started out as a modified Volpin cast, or at the very least used his blue prints.

Haven't they popped in a recent thread about a week or two ago? Swear I've seen these photos on TDC beforehand.

I posted at least one of those pictures in Pictures Part 2, that might be it.

The guy is not Volpin's. Look at the chin. Volpin has a round chin. No corners on Volpin's.

For those interested, here is a thread on the RPF where I discussed the potential linage between Beastman's helmet and Volpin's.

I'll let you draw your own conclusions. But the consensus we came to is that even if Beastman's helmet did start out as a Volpin, its been heavily modified since and really should be considered its own helmet.

I did see Beastman's build photos. Not sure if he used my blueprints (a lot of people have) but it seems to be 100% his own scratchbuild. They're somewhat inconsistent, as it looks like it starts off as a pep then straight to molding... but I don't want to throw stones. There are some moderate marks that look like my work, but the chin and overall width has been heavily altered. Whoever made that piece, even if they used one of my castings as a base, has put a lot of time and effort into it.

The ear patterns on that helmet are definitely my work, but I make the vector file available to interested parties, so I'm not really concerned.

The Thomas bucket in these pics is certainly one of mine though. Nice to see one finished.
