First off, I need to make a HUGE shout out to my friend cama900 for supplying me with the pep file. You rock dude!

So here is the beginning of my full pepakura thomas helmet. I have made thomas helmet several times before using other methods ( With varying levels of success ), But this time I actually feel like I know What I'm doing.

Anyway, here is the completed pep: It didn't fit me, but it did fit my little brother......Sorta........So I guess it's his!

Well, I really look forward to working on this. I will be gone for the next week or so, but as soon as I get back, I'm going to go crazy on this thing!

( sorry if the pics are bad quality )

    5'8 or so.

The helmet actually is pretty big, but because of the wide trim on the bottom of the helmet, it's hard for my head to get in there.

It may fit me after I dremel some stuff from the bottom, but I HIGHLY doubt it.

Re: Thomas Build For My little Bro!

    so ive always been curious

how do you use pep to build/make a helmet mold? and how is the final helmet made/built? ive recently took a break from school to work on my startup, but the consequence is that i also have more free time, and now i want to do a proper helmet (either Guy or Thomas). the last helmet i built was a variation of this: http://www.instructables.com/id/Daft...n-helmet-suit/ . but i want to do it right this time, no motorcycle helmet or cardboard or silver vinyl.

also could you post up blueprints or something?

Well, here is volpins blueprints. They might help:

Pepakura really just provides a base to start on for the final mold. Once you have the pepakura resined and fiberglassed, You just need to smart refining lines, sharpening edges and smoothing it out with some kind of filler, in my case bondo auto body filler. After this, you take the time to look for any low spots or holes in the bondo. After this never-ending stage is done, then it's primer/paint time.

And you don't have to make a mold of it to wear it...... Pepakura is already a hollow shell, so if you wanted, you could just make one helmet.....that's what I plan on doing.

    Hope this answered you question.
