Re: Want to Buy a Daft Punk Helmet
16th Jun 2012, 01:01 #22Yeah like Thomas said, Discovery helmets are pretty expensive to make and sell for a lot too. For a good one that you are asking for, it costs $700 to make. And that's just the average. You might be better off purchasing a Human After All helmet and installing a T-Qualizer or your own leds.
Hope this helpedLast edited by DaftSauce; 16th Jun 2012 at 01:06.

26th Jun 2012, 15:16 #26ATTENTION!!!
Moebagles is a scammer! DO NOT SEND HIM MONEY!! He has been on here trying to sell a helmet that does not exist. He posted pictures of Beastman and Volpin's Guy helmet and said they are one and the same. Asking only $500 for a complete helmet w/ LED's to make it seem like a steal.
Sorry if this is inappropriate but I felt it necessary to inform others so that no one gets taken advantage of.
An admin should ban this user before they do take advantage of somone who thinks they are getting a good deal.Last edited by Rabid Irish; 26th Jun 2012 at 15:23.

Re: Want to Buy a Daft Punk Helmet
26th Jun 2012, 22:20 #27Hello all! I'm really interested in the work that some of you guys are putting into making prop quality Thomas and Guy helmets. Before I make up my mind as to which of the two I want, I'd like pick the brains of some of you veterans. I'm interested in either a Human After All era or a TRON era helmet. How much should I expect to pay for a complete, high quality, prop quality version (no kits please) of each of these eras? I've seen everything from $300 for a Human After All no-LED era to a $1000 Discovery LED'd era. Just trying to ballpark how much I can expect to pay. Thanks in advance for any help and insight!
Re: Want to Buy a Daft Punk Helmet
27th Jun 2012, 00:32 #28one of the biggest things is chrome, If you want it chromed/gold-chomed it will cost more, probably around $800-1000
without chrome it can be like $400-600. These are just ballpark estimates, but should help you figure out what you need
Re: Want to Buy a Daft Punk Helmet
27th Jun 2012, 01:16 #29Anything with lights will be 1000, if not more. If it's chromed, more than 500. If it's just painted, it could be under 500. There are always completed helmets on ebay from time to time, I would check on there every once in a while.
