Okay, I have a day off at home so I thought I would throw up some more photos of the sculpt. There really isn't much to these threads because all I'm really doing is sanding, but.....whatever, I have nothing better to do right now.

First off, new respirator. I usually buy a brand new one about every three months. Make sure yours is designed for paint fumes, my last one was the wrong kind. But, as they say, a mask is better than no mask.

    Then, the sculpt.

A follower of my work has noted that some of the edges are too smooth and I completely agree, so i will be sharpening those before molding.

Also, that is just a test ear puck, not the final piece.

    More to come.

By the way, here's another fun one from my workbench.

Thank you guys! I thought I was done with the dome but tonight I found a couple of tiny dents that will have to be taken care of. The sanding continues!

Also, if anybody is looking for a respirator, that new one I bought is amazing. I couldn't smell a thing today when I was slinging Bondo or painting. I definitely Recommend it. I got it at Home Depot for 44 bucks.

Not on the master. Those will be added in the casts.

That seems... expensive and wasteful. Unless the seal is broken, you should only have to buy new filters.

Yes, I know. But the mask gets pretty filthy after a couple of months of wear so I just prefer to buy a brand new mask. The mask only costs about 15 dollars more than the filters anyway. My loss.
