TDC Members Assemble: Around the World (Literally) Virtual Cover Band!

Remove this ad: become a supporter
Hey guys I was a-thinkin' since there seem to be a lot of talented and skilled musicians on the forum, maybe we could pull of something similar to this:

but instead of thousands of people singing, it would be a few forum members, each playing an instrument or singing, recording themselves, then one person arranging the footage and mixing the audio to create a sort of virtual cover band!

We could start off covering some simpler DP tracks (I was thinking Voyager, dibs on bass :P), and uploading our videos to youtube or sharing a Dropbox folder, and then one skilled video editor (who was it that made that funny remake of the DP Nile Rodgers birthday video with the "Ha ha ha!" at the end?) could assemble the videos and see if we could make something cool out of it.

It would keep us busy while we wait!

Anyone wanna give it a shot?

Cool idea! I made the birthday video remake, maybe I could help with this. I'm sure there are other good video editors here though, but I guess we can deal with that after a song has been picked and everyone has made their contributions.

I'm in for this. I think I'll do it with my Trombone.

Re: TDC Members Assemble: Around the World (Literally) Virtual Cover B

    So let's make it happen!

Let's all state what instruments we play, and which Daft Punks songs we know (or can learn) how to play.
Also, put an asterisk (*) next to the songs that you think would work best for a cover.

I play bass, and I can play:
    Burnin'
    Revolution 909
    *Around the World
    *One More Time
    Aerodynamic
*Digital Love (if there's a guitarist in the forum who can pull off the solo, I think this would be the best one to cover)
    Crescendolls
    Superheroes
    High Life
    *Something About Us
    *Voyager
Face to Face (although it's actually a bass synth in the song)
    Too Long
    Robot Rock
    Mothership Reconnection Remix
    Chord Memory Remix

    Alright now you guys, GO!
