Moguai Thomas build + Firewire glove kit

So after a lot of time (years), I got myself to get some of the stuff of Daft Punk
I have pretty much no experience with any of this, so it's a pretty big thing to do

So far, I started with cutting the parts out of the Firewire glove kit

But just then, the helmet arived!
Now, the helmet itself looks fine and it fits my head (though i stil need to trim the edges on the inside a bit because taking it off is kind of painful haha). I am around 1.86m tall and weigh around 68kg so i probably wouldn't need a bigger sized helmet anyways.

The ear pucks though, are going to be a real pain in the ass to fix

    You can probably see why

Edit: on a side note, I guess I have to remove the parts of the helmet where the ear pucks should fit?

    NO!

Leave some of the ear parts left and cut down the ear pucks themselves.

If you remove all of the ear filling, it causes some instability of the helmet.

    Wait, so how exactly then?

Do you mean something like that? With either cutting like the red lines or the blue lines?

I made this mistake myself, so didn't want to you to make the same.

    Here's DaLo's TB dome:

If you cut it all out the visor can deform and there will always be some play between the ears and the jawline. Big annoyance.

cut the blue lines like I did, it keeps the helmet more stable and prevents it from warping.

Yeah, I posted it because I didn't know how to cut the ears in on my helmet too

Tekparasite later said it was a mistake to cut the ears the way he did.

It's understandable why he did it like that though. Most builds I've seen (like volpin) had either the entire ear part cut out or like what tekparasite did.

I did cut out the entire ear, and have not noticed any warping or instability with the helmet.

But trying to glue the pucks in was a freaking nightmare!

There was a bit of deflection in my visor, but gluing SUUUUUCKED.
