    RAM Film?

Remove this ad: become a supporter
So, there's been a movie for each of DP's albums thus far:

    1. Homework / D.A.F.T: A Story about Dogs, Androids, Firemen, and Tomatoes
    2. Discovery / Interstella 5555: The 5tory of the 5ecret 5tar 5ystem
    3. Human After All / Electroma

Does anyone think that DP will do a movie for RAM? I just thought of an idea that I think would be pretty good, but it feels like it's a weird hybrid between 'Interstella 5555' and 'Electroma'. The plot would be two robots are sent to Earth from unknown origin. They try fitting in by different means, but are ultimately rejected by humanity, until they make friends with a musician (Pharrell Williams), who teaches them about music, and eventually the world comes to accept them.

    Does anyone like my idea?

I prefer Interstella5555 over Electroma, indeed, but yes, I think there is going to be something.

I think, they already done in collaborater's interview series,
they mentioned before they don't want revival same things

D.A.F.T is closely to music video collection,
    interstella is animation film,
    daft punk's electroma is movie,

RAM's collaboration interview....well.........documentery (or a kind of making commentary??)
but anyway your ideas very cute and fascinated!!!!! XD

(sorry sh-it english, I'm not live in Eng speaking world....)

Remember that D.A.F.T. is a music-video compilation, not a movie.
Interstella was a interpretation of Discovery, thus Electroma has no relation with Human After All whatsoever (I take is a derived, because the idea was taken from the Human After All track).

There has been film-related media released by Daft Punk during their respective eras, including Tron. Seeing a RAM media by this time, and with all the cinema-looking footage released as promotion (not to mention they were partially directed by the boys themselves), I can see something coming up in a near future.

Still, the Deluxe boxset contents can be taken a huge video compilation, as for now. If there was going to be any other music video, then Columbia wouldn't have minded in releasing the set by this times.

    Re: RAM Film?

You know the storyline for the movie would be so effing cool.
Robots giving life back to music, everything is dull nuff, something has to change etc. Spaceships etc (Just look at that LYTD video) I can imagine that as a scene from a movie.

    Re: RAM Film?

I am pretty sure there will be a movie. I think that it will be a rock opera about the origin of the robots, possibly with the collaborators helping to "create" Daft Punk, quite literally. I think that the helmet blue prints in RAM and the full blue prints in the deluxe edition will somehow come into play. Possibly someone finds DP, barely alive, after the 1999 explosion in their studio. That person takes them to someone else, possibly Paul Williams, who robotizes them so they may live and keep making music, as a slight nod to Phantom of the Paradise. After that, they return to making music and keep improving, til the crescendo, and something big happens. What that is, I have no idea. This is just a very early script I made up in about 5 minutes.

    Re: RAM Film?

A movie of RAM, maybe can be something that is out of our thoughts, maybe can be that this robots are like a duo of rockstars (for this the video of 'Lose yourself to dance' or the people screaming in 3:15 of the music 'Gife live back to music'), obviously with a couple of collaborators. Well, this is my perspective; also we have to wait to the next year or the year after of 2014. I think that for this, they were absent of the the public, working in RAM (obviously) and in the movie, maybe.

Also, Daft Fan, the album TRON has his own movie, haha.
