maybe by the middle of this week : )
    Any requests on the unfold?
(in advance i have to say that it will be the external helmet, a visor vacuum form file, and the internal rig file with a vacuum form model for the led matrix. Maybe i'll also make extra textures with some animations scenes of the led matrix)

Re: New Daft Punk Thomas and Guy papercraft paperkura models!

To build the internal rig file i have to take to account the leds dimensions.

Where can i find this kind of information? (google)
Can i generalize it for each kind/size of led? (couldn't tell for sure on my research)
Most important of all, what is the correct/best way to assemble/attach each part of the leds to the rig? Transparent petg for the central matrix with the leds sliding from behind it locking to their base, and boards + soldering for the sides?
    I need your experience guys!
I need to know this stuff because i have to calculate the distance to the visor and the position of each part so as the texture can be as precise as possible.
    Thank you!!

How much would you guys like a 2 part pepakura model with the front and the back part of the helmet separated from each other?

    Edit: like this>>

I realized that making a 2 separate piece mold that way is not worth it. When casting it will be very much waistfull (because of the material that will have to be cut of) and you can separate the pieces with a saw, if necessary, on the 1 piece mold.

Re: New Daft Punk Thomas and Guy papercraft paperkura models!

Edit: well, i've decided to make this available through shapeways: http://www.shapeways.com/shops/brunoosti (go through the thread to see how it evolved). Their new pricing policy for some materials made it not worth the time, work and cost of assembling, hardening and sanding a paper model. Anyways, if you really want to go the paper way, send me a Personal Message that i'll send you the pepakura model ; ).

    F I N A L Y !

Hope you like it! PDF files included. DOWNLOAD (link removed)
I did some slight modifications on the jaw line area, almost unnoticeable, but worth applying to the model. I'll unfold only the parts that got modded and upload the file. In the future i'll unfold the main model all over again : p. So, if you haven't got there yet, wait to build the part beneath the visor (mouth, jaw and silicon base)
