Trying my best to get into black tea, but green tea has always been my go-to. Usually whenever I go to milk tea places and I'm not feeling anything with dairy I'll opt for iced teas with green tea. Anything with passion-fruit gets me hooked.

    Re: tea thread!!!

My favorite is the Tazo Zen green tea served hot with honey, I like that little hint of lemongrass in it. I can't drink it plain anymore without something to sweeten it, it's just blegh, but I don't like overwhelming sweetness either. Honey is milder than sugar (and easier on the calories.)

I also like black tea, usually buy the Lipton Pure Leaf stuff; I mix the sweetened and unsweetened together. Also, the Arizona green tea, but only every now and then because piro was right, it's like drinking a soda.

I used to really like the Celestial Seasonings Mandarin Orange Spice tea, but somehow I lost my taste for it. After a while it started to smell like rotten fruit. I still like their Cinnamon Apple Spice flavor, it's almost like drinking cider.

i had a pot of ceylon today with breakfast~ with sugar and cream <3

i didn't mention it in my post before but since my move back to the States i started studying Chanoyu (Japanese tea ceremony -- Omotesenke school if anyone was curious) and more recently Chinese gonfu cha. i kinda find it difficult to really get into Chinese teas, though, because they're much lighter in flavor compared to Japanese sencha which is my green tea go-to.

Agreed. The Japanese green teas do seem more 'strong' in flavor though the lighter Chinese teas are quite nice with meals.

Also, I have had some homemade Chinese brews and definitely got to experience some strong and interesting flavored cups of tea.
