    Early Daft Punk Masks

Remove this ad: become a supporter
Hey Guys, this is my first thread so sorry if this is in the wrong section. My friend and I want to cosplay this photo of Daft Punk from their pre-helmet age. Does anyone have any information on what type of mask these are or where I can get them?

Looks like some type of Japanese Oni or demon mask. If you can't find something similar, you could always make something like this out of papier mache and paint it to look like these masks. There are lots of reference images.

So Oni masks? That at least gives me a starting point... if only I had any artistic talent whatsoever :/ Thank you so much!

I found this pic of what I think is that exact design:

It's not big but you can see what it looks like if you want to make your own. I think Thomas' mask is the same but just a different base color.

These masks are quite common in Japanese culture, but to get these exact masks that they're wearing might be some what of a challenge. I'd advise just getting some pain ones and copying the design on the ones that T+G are wearing.

Maybe you have hidden artistic talent that you don't know about yet. Never know until you give it a shot.

Does anyone have other photos of them with these masks on for a better reference?
