Daft Punk - Live Samples (1995-1997)

    Hey everyone,

I've been listening to the 'ol Daft bootlegs again and become obsessed with the percussion samples they used. Often you would hear them pitched up and down in weird fashion—but it worked. I know for a fact that they would use the LinnDrum for some of it.

Here's one I ended up finding today by accident.

It appears exactly at 0:56 and throughout the track. It can be heard a lot in their set at The Arches during the transition to Gusto's 'Disco Revenge.' I'm fairly certain that sound is from a drum machine as it sounds dry when the boys used it.

Feel free to post any other samples they used!

Yeah that definitely is one of them! I wonder which machine it's taken from.
Rest In Peace: Romanthony, singer of one more time, passed away suddenly on May 7th, at the age of 46.

Sounds Like a 808 to me.

No, 808 doesn't have that sample.

It sounds like a machine sound to me. The thing it reminds me of are the pneumatic wrenches used for changing F1 tyres, listen:

(yes, there's a Daft Punk logo on the car)

It might not be that exact thing but I think it's a sample from something similar, possibly from some DJ sound effect sound bank or such.

    Anyone?

P.S. This suits perfectly as a replacement sample
