    Hey guys!
I'm currently working on multi-layer cover of Instant Crush and the drum beat is pretty much the only thing I can't mimick with my cello haha (i try really hard)
Could anyone recommend a free easy-to-use software that has a metronome speed input for beats + has a reasonable variety of percussive sounds? and can be used by a first timer to computery musicmaking?
Or would anyone happen to have an IC drum layer already done up their sleeves..?!

I'm trying to make one for you! We'll see how it turns out.

    Edit:
Okay, I made one! I tried to make it as close to the original as possible, I think I got pretty close. It's 110 BPM, with four silent beats before it starts. Then it fades out at the end to mimic the fading of the song. I don't know how you're going to put your cover together so if you need the drum track put together differently then I can make adjustments for you.

t-this is fantastic ..THANK YOU SO MUCH! :'D I just tried playing with it just now and got a real kick out of hearing the cymbals and other details that you added in to match the original so accurately!

Would it be possible to include an edition with the beats at the beginning(and maybe in the part nearing the end where its completely silent)audible? Just so I could have a better idea of when exactly to come in for recording's sake Thanks again!!

You're welcome! I'm glad to hear it works so well for you! Yeah, I made a version with a metronome sound in the beginning and in the quiet part, download here:

And I also updated the regular version (just tiny tweaks to the volume of some parts):

I hope your cover turns out well, when you're done recording I wouldn't mind helping out with mixing and such. If you want!
