As long as the next album isn't like this, I don't mind. And even if it is, I guess that'll still be alright.

Actually nvm that, the song is awful

I love it, love the title, very influenced by the robots imo... the "ha ha" part is robotic kinda like laughing like "in your "face" "

Re: Daft Punk in the studio with The Weeknd

I don't get where all this disappointment is coming from lol. I mean, it's the Weeknd. It was never going to be a house track or the second coming of Da Funk. They've been known to try different things and producing a track for a hot R&B artist seemed to be on their to-do list.
And I don't think it's sacrilegious to be using the Daft Punk brand with a mainstream artist. I don't really agree that their main priority has always been to keep the name sacred or whatever. I think it's always been more about just not really caring lol. So we should probably just do the same. If you like the track, koo. If you don't, then koo.

Re: Daft Punk in the studio with The Weeknd

I would love if they did a collab with someone like Solange, or Janelle Monae or even Frank Ocean. I just don't get the Weeknd hype and while I think he's a good singer, I don't think he's doing much out there. I find the new song to be generic and too like their work with Pharrell. I much prefer the work they did on Yeezus which was down and dirty!

Man we hear nothing for months, then finally something Daft Punk actually made comes up and people criticise... I am freakin' happy they are still ALIVE and doing something music related. I mean cmon.

I like it. It's got a nice, mellow groove to it. Plus, I adore Weeknd's vocals and the robotic backup vocals.

They're alive, trust me. They're just doing preparations.

I just think this track is a bit whatever. I don't like the Weeknd or this weird r'n'b house genre that's popped up, I feel like I'm getting old haha.

Well criticism is inevitable when any artist does something new. I'm pretty sure we're all happy they're back, in spite of all the negative reviews.

The Daft Punk brand is damaged more by the selling of signet rings for $300 than any collaboration. That is grim.
I can agree, especially with the last part.

Sometimes I feel like Daft Punk will pull a KISS and come out with a robot coffin. Probably not, but you never know. I never thought there would be Daft Punk "artisan" skateboards or frisbees.
