    Recent hack

Remove this ad: become a supporter
Hi everyone. I have posted an official update on the recent hacking of the site, which includes a bit more technical info and details about the security measures put in place in the aftermath.

But this thread is not really here to serve as an update - it's here to serve as an apology. This issue, while it may not have been totally avoidable could definitely have been handled in a far swifter and professional manner. Luckily on this occasion it seems the risk of data theft directly via the hack was minimal - but my lack of communication on the matter was unacceptable. I am deeply ashamed at the way I handled things and can only apologise to you all.

Hopefully this situation is now fully resolved, but future attacks cannot be ruled out, all I can say is that in future action will be taken far sooner and there will be better communication at every step of the way.

Finally, I said it in the news post too, but thank you so much for those individuals who took a lead in trying to bring things to my attention and to find resolutions. I have a great deal of respect for you and want you to know it means a lot to me.

    Thank you.

Life takes precedence, bud. It's understandable. Thank you for assuring us the hack didn't have a consequence on user data. Take care.

It now appears the ability to 'like' posts has disappeared...

Thanks for understanding guys - means a lot With regards to the passwords - ok, maybe I got a little trigger happy with the limits

Am looking into the post liking feature. I did run some updates on some of the software/plugins so that has probably had a knock-on effect. I'll see what I can do!
